Ebira people of Kogi state (Kogi central) had recently sacrificed a dog for the prevention of coronavirus.
Kogi and Cross river state remain the only state of the federation that are yet to record any case of coronavirus.
In the video that went viral, a group of Ebira people were seen sacrificing a dog, with the pray that, Ebira land and Kogi state shall not record any case of the deadly virus.
They also prayed for the country to overcome this pandemic as soon as possible.
It will be recalled that, on 27th of February, 2020, Nigeria recorded her first coronavirus case, when an Italian in Lagos was tested positive.
And on 9th of March, 2020, a second case was recorded in Ewekoro, Ogun state, a Nigerian citizen who had contact with the Italian.
So far, Nigeria had recorded a total of 2,170 case, 351 coronavirus victims discharged and 68 deaths recorded.
No less than 239 thousand people have died across the globe of the virus which first broke out in Wuhan, a city in China last December.
