Comprehensive Research On Underaged Investment in 2022
You don’t need to be greedy, though. Here are 12 investments you can take right now and make more than $80,000 each over the next 5 years.
You can find one that works well for your needs. Or, get someone who does, and sell them what they want. Whatever fits the bill, it is definitely something to consider.
Invest as soon as possible because you never know when a financial crisis might hit. As investors, we have seen all kinds of crises on our own, so take this seriously. If you really just don’t care about money, then save up for an emergency fund. There are plenty of ways to do this (for example, by saving and investing a portion of wages), but you should also find a brokerage or bank account manager that understands this sort of stuff to handle it for you. The point is that if you do have access to savings, now is not the time to start. Even then, saving money is critical. This year’s economic uncertainty is even worse for saving money because of the pandemic. So, at this point, the best advice is to use some real assets to generate income that would generate enough to cover living expenses while still making money if the economy does tank. We will discuss these investment options down below.
The most obvious asset I have mentioned here is my house. Yes, if you think my wife lives there, this could be considered real estate, but it’s actually only $20,000. That’s $20K, almost twice what I would expect from a rental property. But I don’t want this to come off as too much like saying a home equity loan. It’s okay. In fact, this strategy is so common in owning rentals that it makes its way into investment portfolios on a broader level. I would recommend taking out a loan for either using personal loans or creating equity in your home’s equity. Either would probably generate good returns in the short term without having to worry about paying interest, though.
These are pretty simple investments, but there are other strategies that you can play within this space that help you earn extra money even when you don’t take out a traditional loan. Of course, there are risk factors to consider, such as how much money you are able to generate. And then, there are opportunities and risks. But, let’s dive in.
Selling your products and services can bring a ton of benefits in terms of earning cash flow. When people buy and pay for products and services, they usually pay a monthly fee that is deducted from their gross profit and invested in stocks, bonds, etc. They will typically receive dividends or raise capital annually in return for their investment. Another form of revenue stream is through advertising; companies that provide platforms to sell products or services collect fees to advertise content.
If you have products and services available, perhaps starting a marketing platform to create awareness for those products will help grow your revenue streams. An advertisement model can look quite similar to selling stock on Wall Street — everyone buys shares of a company, and you receive dividends from those shares. One great benefit is that investors will often be the ones getting paid for advertising.
So, if your audience is willing to spend $100 a month to listen to what you have to offer and see how you can make money with your offering, you can generate good revenue, which can translate to earning a lot of money. Of course, you can only work with a limited budget, but sometimes it doesn’t hurt to see where else you can go towards achieving this goal. At times, I have discussed with clients how easy it is to raise cash using alternative means. For instance, PayPal charges a percentage of sales for tax purposes. Others are charging a flat fee on every sale. These are less restrictive than having to report taxes on any amount, but they are still tax-related income.
If you need to boost your business, you can take advantage of affiliate marketing, which requires little startup capital and can help you make money very fast when you move into e-commerce. Affiliate marketing is particularly beneficial to big corporations since they can tap the billions of dollars of online commerce and generate revenue. While many of us have heard about Amazon, others are seeing tremendous success. Perhaps eBay has been a better solution to date for companies that already had a large online presence or wish they did. Regardless, I am confident that you can grow your business with affiliate marketing, even without raising capital.
Another option in working towards this goal is selling software. Software development jobs can offer excellent salaries as long as your team brings skills you need, like coding or UX design. Selling a suite of development tools could include things like web-based tooling platforms, testing kits (especially relevant as businesses grow) as well as apps and third-party tools in general. Doing the latter can make the most sense for smaller tech companies.
I’ve talked before with clients who have started small, medium, and large projects with third-party platforms like Dropbox, Zendesk, Shopify, Etsy, Mail Chimp, Survey Junkie, Evernaut, Google Analytics, and others. Each project has brought different levels of success to those projects, including major milestones, and it has helped me personally earn far more than other comparable professional services teams. This is one of my favorite examples. Not only does the client have full control over her or his resources, but she also has complete control over the price they paid for the service. Maybe it’s harder to sell, but there is no reason why selling your valuable skills with a third-party platform is anything less than a winning proposition for yourself and your company.
Some companies that offer outsourced insurance products are called agencies. Insurance agents charge commissions to customers that sell policies. Some agencies are licensed in the state that regulates the practice and others are completely unregulated. My recommendation in this regard is to go with agencies with licensing that already are licensed outside of your state like National Flood Insurance Association. With insurance agents, you can charge fees on policies sold by customers, agency staff members, and vendors. Make sure that you have written contracts with both parties before signing them. Other than being licensed as an agent, I would suggest going with a broker rather than an agency. Brokers have more experience in handling complex situations, and I believe that brokers can handle whatever type of transaction you need help with.
If you want to be financially independent, investing in the U.S. equity markets can help increase both your stock portfolio and your retirement account. These markets are not the same as abroad, but I do feel they are the safest in the market. If you are just going to play in the United States, you won’t be tied to other domestic and international investors. Although foreign markets have some differences, I feel as though I speak from a broad set of knowledge of foreign markets — especially now that I am writing this article.
Stability in a stock market is important to your growth; otherwise, it can be a drag on earnings. Stock market stability from the United Kingdom to Switzerland can be a drag on you, as well. Those are simply generalizations here. Stable international markets tend to hold higher valuations with a stronger business environment than in North America. If you get caught up in all of that volatility, you may be putting future profits on hold with respect to investments and cash-flow goals. So, be conservative when investing in international markets. Don’t rely heavily on cash flows over the longer term, when you can make investments that produce more cash flow in one place and lose much of it in another.
The last investment I mentioned is private equity funds. Private Equity is one particular type of equity investing that focuses on making investments into lower tax-exempted assets with moderate amounts of debt. Investors often sign agreements with institutional investors to put their savings towards investments, and then take part in an IPO. Institutional investors are normally responsible for buying the company and growing it by issuing equity in exchange for a share. Most investors in private equity are interested in gaining ownership of companies. However, you can also make your fortune by helping existing and new companies grow. Sometimes this can involve becoming a lender or serving as a sponsor. The key to taking care of a private equity fund is investing in private stocks. Because most of those investments aren’t taxable, it makes it easier for investors to take out equity in those companies, thereby increasing their net income. Just like this deal with commercial assets, these private equity investments are also subject to ups and downs in the valuations of individual companies. Therefore, while a private equity fund might be suitable as an investment vehicle for individuals, it doesn’t necessarily make for an ideal investment when looking at the bigger picture. In addition to high leverage, this debt investment style is also known as “high yield debt.”
While it is true that debt securities are better for growth, they still have their flaws. Low debt investments need to balance risk and reward — and that just isn’t always the case. Debt securities carry certain financial risks, such as default fees and interest rate caps. Additionally, when debt security matures, the interest rates charged on outstanding balances and the discount rate increase. Depending on your ability to repay interest, however, you might not have enough income to offset those costs.
